The Harrell Wilson Invitational/Shopping Day in Little Rock

This weekend was the Sixth Annual Harrell Wilson Invitational Golf Tournament (for the men) and Shopping Day (for the women) in Little Rock. A group of guys gets together every year to play two courses while the wives go shopping and then everybody meets up for dinner and an awards ceremony that night. Obviously, this was our very first Harrell Wilson Invitational, and we had a great time!
Brian's team WON the golf tournament and Jack and I spent lots of money all over North Little Rock on all sorts of fun stuff! Brian and the guys started the day off at about 5:45 with breakfast at Waffle House and then played two 18 hole courses. They said they had a lot of fun. Meanwhile, Jack and I went to LR with our friends Paige and Jaelle to shop. We found some great deals at TJ Maxx. They have really good prices on childrens' books and toys, which I didn't know. And Jaelle got some ADORABLE clothes for fall. We also went to Target and Steinmart which was fun. Jack was the PERFECT baby!!!!! He didn't fuss at all and he slept and ate his bottles sooo well. I am so blessed with this little boy! Jaelle took care of him and helped out a ton the whole day. She is on the top of the babysitters' list when she gets older.
That night we met the guys at Shorty Smalls, a barbeque place, and ate. Brian and his teammates received pretty cool trophies. He was excited, and I was really proud! We had such a good time! God has blessed us with these new friendships and continues to give us opportunities to build them, and I'm so thankful!!!!

Jaelle, Paige, and Jack at Target refueling for more shopping. Jaelle and Paige were dressed alike--so cute! Look at Jack trying to cram that rattle into his mouth! :)
Jaelle sat in the back on the van with Jack. She helped out a lot!
I never thought I'd say this--but I want a minivan! Ahhhhhh! = O It was so easy and convenient to have all that room! And if we have a ton of kids we'll have to have something big. Can't you just see me cruising around town, sideswiping vehicles, backing into poles, running small children off the road in my behemoth sized van? hahaha :)

I'm Five Months Old!!!!!

Jack has started playing in his excersaucer and he loves this flower.
Yummy!
Jack is incredible at getting around by rolling. I'll put him in the middle of his blanket and before I know it, he's way across the room. The other day he caught site of his Bumbo and HAD to get his mouth on it. As he tried to get close enough, he would roll and push it farther away. He ended pushing it about 4 feet across the carpet. I was cracking up!
Here he is trying his hardest to get his mouth on the Bumbo. :)
Hi Mom! Look what I can do! :)

Fun Time with Grandmamma and Grandpa

Brian's parents came to see us for a long weekend, and we had a great time! They got here Wednesday and they've been loving on Jack and spoiling him like crazy ever since! He has had a great time showing off all of the new things he can do since they last saw him. We are so glad they got to come--it had been about 2 months since they saw us. Jack loves his Grandmamma and Grandpa! Mommy, Grandmamma, and Jack had a good time hanging out this week while Daddy and Grandpa worked. It was great letting Mrs. Nancy see Jack go through his normal routine each day and see his do all his new stuff.
Grandmamma and Jack catching up when they first arrived.
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!! Daddy's little boy!
YUMMY! He LOVES his rice cereal. He's getting better about smiling for the camera, but he keeps trying to get to the camera now, and he closes his eyes all the time. I have tons of hilarious shots of him with his eyes closed and weird looks on his face.
Jack and Daddy playing on the floor.
Jack loves looking in the mirror. I stand on the couch and let him see himself up close in the mirror. He is so cute, he touches the mirror and smiles and laughs.
We went to Little Rock today and this was taken at a cool little diner/ice cream shoppe called the Purple Cow. Jack loved looking at all of the people and trying to get into our ice cream. He is more and more alert and curious, and he has started getting into everything within his reach.
Doesn't Jack look BIG! I swear he grows minute to minute. Sometimes I look at him and he seems bigger and more grown up than he did five minutes before. :( sniff sniff. hahaha. :)
He became obsessed with washcloths today. He just wanted to chew on them and put them over his face and play with them. He hardly played with anything else. It was so cute and funny to watch him try to shove it all in his mouth.

Jack and Mommy

A few months ago one of my Mom's friends took pictures of Jack and I, and I put them in an album for Brian's father's day gift. I'm just now putting them on here because I left the CD in Gulfport and now I have it back. These are a few of my favorite ones. Jack looks so little in these! He was a little over a month old in them.

This one above is my favorite picture!

Jack was sound asleep in a lot of these. He did good for a little while, but then he got tired and really cranky, so we let him go to sleep and I held him. Some of the best shots are of him sleeping.

I love kissing his little bitty feet!

My Mom's friend, Susan, was great! She set up in my parents' bedroom. We hung a black blackdrop, put up some lights and that's it. It was pretty funny as we all crammed in their bedroom for the photo shoot. You can't even tell that's where we were. I really like the pictures.

Painting for Jack's Room

This weekend I was able to paint a good bit and this is what I painted. I wasn't all that pleased with it at first because it didn't turn out the way it looked in my head. But it has grown on me and now I really really like it. Brian is so sweet! He has been so supportive and complimentary about my paintings! He's so incredible! He is a wonderful husband and an awesome daddy! I love him!

So Cute, Whether Asleep or Awake!

Jack is really starting to play now! He has started swinging toys around and occasionally hitting himself in the face, plus he's chewing on everything. I wouldn't be surprised if we see a tooth soon due to all the drooling and teething.

Sunday afternoon Jack took his nap on Brian's chest. It was so cute! Look at those lips! I just love him!

My family sent us a big package today full of all kinds of fun stuff. Jack got some Baby Einstein blocks that he already loves. They are really neat--Brian and I have been playing with them too. :) And he got a tray for his Bumbo and a teether/ rattle. I got some paint pens, canvases, stickers, notecards, and all kinds of cool stuff. And Brian got two really neat flashlights. Lucy even got a treat! Thanks mom, dad, and Elizabeth!!!! We love and miss ya'll!

He's getting so big!

Our little man is really starting to look and act like a little man! It's so crazy! Time has absolutely flown and he has grown so much already! He's rolling around and laughing and putting things in his mouth and eating rice cereal, and he's 4 1/2 months old! WHAT?????? I'm telling you it's crazy! :) Look at our Jack man all dressed up for church! Isn't he precious! He looks so big! Oh but we just love love love love him! He is so sweet!
We finally had to bite the bullet and stop swaddling Jack because he was busting out of the blankets and waking himself up. We had a very pleasant night earlier this week when he woke up just about every hour! Ugh! But we got him the sleep sack that you see below and that plus feeding him rice cereal before bedtime has been so great! Last night he didn't wake up at all and slept until 5:45! It was fantastic! He loves his new pj's!
Everything everything everything is going in his mouth now! It is hysterical to watch him try and try and try to get huge things near or in his mouth--like Mommy and Daddy's faces and big toys and blankets. He loves playing with blankets now. He'll grab them and suck on them and roll around with them until he's all wrapped up!
Our Jack is just getting so big! And I know that he's going to grow sooooo much more over the next few months. I love watching him through all of these new stages! I love being his mom!
:)

My New Hobby

I'm very excited about my new little hobby--Painting! My parents bought me some paint, brushes, and canvases and I started trying it out this weekend. I love it! It's so relaxing and fun! These are my first two and I think they're pretty good so far! I made one for our friends' little girl Jaelle, and one for a little baby, Mallory that was born a few weeks ago. :) :) :) :) I'm pretty excited that they came out so cute!

Fun Weekend with the Bodin Family

Elizabeth

My parents and my sister, Elizabeth, came to visit last weekend. We had a great time seeing them and watching them play with Jack. He, of course, was the center of attention and they got to see some of his new tricks, which was great. Elizabeth got Jack laughing Sunday night and it was the cutest thing I've ever seen!!!!
We went to Hot Springs Saturday and really enjoyed it. We toured one of the bath houses, ate at a GREAT restaurant called the Brick House Grill, walked around downtown for a while, got some yummy ice cream and fudge, and then went to the mall for a little while to get Jack out of the heat.
Don't my two men look so adorable together!!! :) The pic of Brian with Jack in the carrier is one of my all time favorites now!
When I first saw the pic of me holding Jack I said, "Whoa I look like a mom!" to which everyone responded, "YOU ARE A MOM!" It's still weird at times I guess. But don't I just look like a
mom!!!! :)
