Our Growing Family

We have been insanely busy lately! Thursday I drove to Little Rock to take Jack for his weight check-up. He has gained over 3 pounds and now weighs 20 pounds, 2 ounces!!! GO JACK!!! The doctor was very happy with the progress, she even joked that we need to put him on Slimfast now :). She wants us to start him on formula, but he HATES IT!!! So we're going to stick with Pediasure until I get back from my parents' next week.

Brian's parents came in town Friday-Monday and we had such a GREAT time with them! We hadn't seen them since New Year's, so Jack had tons of new tricks to show them. He crawled and laughed and talked and charmed them the whole weekend. He even started something new while they were here--he started pushing his Tonka truck and walking behind it which is the CUTEST thing ever! We had such a good time and were so glad that they came to see us!

Brian and I got to go on a date Saturday night while they watched Jack. We drove to LR and went to P.F. Chang's. YUUMMMMM!!! They have these crab wontons that are incredible and coconut-pineapple ice cream that I'm obsessed with! I want to stock my entire freezer with the stuff! This pregnant woman has found something she likes--watch out! But anyway...we had so much fun just being together and laughing and eating. We needed it and it was great!

Then yesterday I went back to LR to go to my doctor. He did a sonogram and found out that I am 9 weeks and 3 days along, and my due date is September 20th!!! So now we have a picture of our little one and it's so cute! You can see her/his head, arm, and legs developing. We could even see some movement on the sonogram. We are so excited!!!!!!!!!

And tomorrow I'm going to Madison to take care of my Mom for a few days while she recovers from having surgery. My parents and sister can't wait to see us (Jack) :) :)

I'll post sonogram pictures and some new Jack pics soon.

Jack update

Jack will be ELEVEN months old next week!!!!! WHAT???? Time has blown by faster than it seems possible! But we're really enjoying it all and having so much fun with our little man!
He has at least 6 teeth now, 2 on the bottom and 4 on top.
He cruises around the furniture at lightning speed, making us proud and very nervous at the same time. Poor little guy bumps his head all the time, but he's tough!
He "talks" all the time now! His "stories" are sometimes long, dramatic and accompanied by various large hand and arm gestures and laughs, making us think that maybe he's telling us big fish stories or tales about a very large and funny creature. Whatever he's saying it is very important and must be paid attention too...of course that's no problem, we can barely peel our eyes away from the little cutie anyway. He definitely keeps us laughing and moving.
Some of his favorite things are: getting 2 old remotes out of the drawer in the coffee table and crawling around with one in each hand, crawling down the hall as fast as he can trying to get into a room before Mom or Dad closes the door, playing in his closet and dragging everything he can reach out, "helping" Mommy fold the laundry (see 2nd picture above), crawling around naked after his bath (see last 2 pics), and telling us his stories.
We love this boy to pieces! What in the world did we do before we had him? I can't even remember. Surely it wasn't this much fun! :)

I'm a BIG Blog Dork

HAHAHA so this is my third post of the day!?!?! I know, I'm a little sad, but really I've just been online a lot and have had a lot to say today...so....the reason for this post is important! I am changing my e-mail address b/c the one I have now keeps messing up. So please drop me a line at: christina.chisholm@hotmail.com from now on.
Thanks!

In the last couple of days I have found out that two of our good friends we met in Starkville, Brandi and Amy, are expecting too! There must be something in our friends' water because last time I was pregnant there were tons of our friends expecting too! I am so excited and overjoyed at the blessings that God is showering on us! How exciting that we will all be having babies around the same time! Sadly, we're not in the same city, or state for that matter (Brandi lives in TX, and Amy in AL), but our babies will still be friends! :)

CONGRATULATIONS TO BOTH OF YOU!!!!!!!! May God bless you with good pregnancies and beautiful, healthy babies!

I <3 Project Runway!

Does anyone watch/love/obsess over Project Runway like I do? This is my FAVORITE show! It starts with 12 designers who have to design and make a look following specific guidelines in as little as a day sometimes. It is amazing to watch their designs go from sketch to fabric to real clothes so fast. I can't even sew a button on! :)
Sadly, I don't get to chat with anyone about the show (except Jack) because Brian doesn't like it and no one else I know watches it. SO...If you watch/love/obsess over/or even just sorta like Project Runway I'd love to chat about it.
P.S.~ I want Christian (the guy, yes that's a guy, in front wearing the pink t-shirt and vest with spikey hair) to win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
