Jack is doing sooo well! And he is getting more and more fun every day! He's cruising around all the furniture and getting into everything! He has discovered the drawers in the coffee table, the cabinet under the TV, his closet, and several other new places to dig. He has gotten noticeably chubbier thanks to Pediasure, which his doctor should like. We go back for a weight check in a couple weeks. We are having such a great time playing and laughing with Jack and watching him learn! He is such a magnificent blessing in our lives! Praise GOD!
"He turns a wilderness into pools of water, and dry land into watersprings. There He makes the hungry dwell, that they may establish a city for a dwelling place, and sow fields and plant vineyards, that they may yield a fruitful harvest. He also blesses them, and they multiply greatly; and He does not let their cattle decrease." Psalm 107:35-38

Our New Bedding!!!!
We finally got our bedding and we love it! The comforter and shams are a light teal green color with brown detail on top and the bedskirt is brown. It's very comfortable and I think it's gorgeous! I'm planning on getting some accent pillows and maybe a throw for the end of the bed, but that can wait. I'm just so glad that we have it and that we both like it. Brian is making a headboard for us that is going to be fabulous! It will be white, which I think will look really good. Thanks again for all of the help ladies!

The Great Bedding Search 2
Thank you soooo much for all of the suggestions that everyone posted! It helped tremendously!!! I looked at all of the websites suggested and there were some great sets out there, but the one we decided to get Brian found at kmart.com of all places. It's not exactly what I was picturing, but it's really nice, and cute, and was the right price. So, once I get the set and put it on the bed I'll post a picture of it. THANKS EVERYONE!

The Great Bedding Search
Does anyone know of a place to get affordable, yet nice, good-looking bedding? If you do PLEASE post a comment and give me suggestions! Brian and I got a GREAT deal on a new king size mattress and now we need new king size bedding. We just want something simple and pretty--and it is NOWHERE TO BE FOUND! We've spent untold hours online looking, and Sunday we went to North Little Rock to look--we went to no less than 6 stores (TJ Maxx, Bed Bath and Beyond, Steinmart, Dillards, JCPenney, Linens n Things, and Bed Bath and Beyond again) and ended up just getting the bare essentials: 2 king pillows, a set of sheets, and a white down comforter. So the great bedding search continues.
BIG changes!
Jack had his 9 month check up a couple of weeks ago, and as a result of that visit a lot of things have changed! Jack had actually lost weight, and was about a pound and a half behind where he needed to be. (Granted he had been sick and was teething, but still.) Because of this our Doctor recommended putting him on Pediasure and continuing breastfeeding if he would take it. So we started giving him Pediasure 3 feedings a day and then, once he'd had that I would try to breastfeed. Well Jack would NOT breastfeed AT ALL!
I think what cause all of it was that my milk supply was getting low and he wasn't getting enough, thus the weight loss, and then once he ate all of the Pediasure and was full and satisfied he didn't want to deal with nursing. So Jack pretty much weaned himself and now he's 100% Pediasure in a bottle plus baby food and finger food and some table food.
All that to say I have had a hard time accepting this big change that came so suddenly. It's odd and sad that I didn't really realize how important and special breastfeeding was to me until it was over. Though I'm not as tied down now--Brian can feed him too!--and it's so much easier to go places--no more bringing a cooler bag and having to warm up a bottle, or finding somewhere to nurse--I really do miss the closeness and bond of having my baby boy depend on me so much. Breastfeeding was such a wonderful experience for me, and I'm so glad that I did it!
Brian and I have talked about all of this several times lately and we're both coming to realize that our little Jack is not going to be a little baby forever--he's really not one now. And that he is going to grow up. This is just one if the many many many steps that force us to let go of something a little bit. Wow is it hard! (Yes, I am tearing up right now.) :) Who knew this being a parent thing was so hard?

Thank You for the FUN toys!
Thank you Grandmamma, Grandpa, Aunt Amanda, Uncle Chris, Nana, Papa, Aunt Besa, Uncle Michael, and all of my friends and family that gave me so many fun and exciting toys and clothes for Christmas! I can't decide what to pull up on, or drool on, or crawl over first. I love ya'll!
Love, Jack
Can you find the baby in the picture above???
MawMaw and PawPaw Bodin(Jack's great-grandparents on Christina's side) gave Jack a highchair and it is wonderful! He has already broken it in with his first biter biscuit and some yummy baby food.
{Disclaimer: This picture was taken before Mommy went crazy because of the mess and organized everything. Now some of the toys are out, and some are boxed up to come out in a few weeks.}
Papa Bodin made this for Jack a while back, but brought it to him as a Christmas present. Jack loves it! He's a natural cowboy!
For New Year's we went to Brian's Grandmamma's in Yazoo City. Jack got tons of toys from everybody there and had a blast playing with them all! He especially liked his Hide Inside Surprise that Grandmamma and Grandpa Chisholm gave him. :)
Daddy's little boy! How precious is he?

First Christmas Morning!!!!
We had a fantastic Christmas morning celebrating with Jack for the first time! Though he didn't really know what was going on, he had a good time ripping wrapping paper and tissue paper, and playing with some cool new toys! Brian and I got him only a couple of things since we knew he would be getting TONS of toys from his loving and doting grandparents, aunts, and uncle. We gave Jack a HUGE Tonka truck and some neat stuffed animals that teach colors and make noises. The Tonka truck had mega legoes in the back and Jack LOVED them. Brian and he had so much fun playing together--Brian would build a tower and Jack would knock it down.
This Christmas really felt like Christmas because we got to experience it through Jack and it was such a blessing! We decided to stay home by ourselves and relax and I'm so glad we did. Although it's weird being away from our family at Christmas, it is so great to lounge around and eat and play and have that time for just us.
